NCIF Innovation Competition 2026 – Call for Applications

The Northern Cape Innovation Forum (NCIF) invites innovators, entrepreneurs, and problem-solvers to apply for the 2026 NCIF Innovation Competition, taking place on 23 April 2026 in Upington.

This competition serves as a platform to identify, showcase, and support innovative solutions addressing real-world challenges across key sectors.

• Stand a chance to be considered for the 2026 CSIR Regional Innovation Challenge (up to R150 000 in support)

Important Eligibility Note

Participation in the RISP 2026 Innovation Challenge will be limited to innovators who have previously participated in NCIF-supported interventions, including:

• Design Thinking Workshops
• Innovation Challenges
• Mentorship Programmes and other interventions. 

New applicants who have not yet participated in these interventions are still encouraged to apply for the Innovation Competition, and will be supported through future NCIF programmes, including eligibility for the 2027 cycle.
